Services & Fees
Scheduling
If you are interested in seeking treatment, please click on the link to schedule a free 20-minute consultation. You can contact me directly by clicking the button below, or leave me a message on my confidential voice mail at (510) 214-3167.
Therapy sessions are 50 minutes. My fee is $180-$210 per 50 minute session. I provide separate quotes for EMDR intensive work. EMDR sessions are generally 60-90 minutes.
ASSESSMENT
Treatment begins with an initial assessment. I will ask you a number of questions in order to develop a solid conceptualization and treatment plan. In some instance, a 2nd session is needed to complete the assessment. I will offer recommendations and if you would like to partner with me, we will develop treatment goals and a road map for our work together.
PAYMENT
Payment is due on the day of your appointment. I accept cash, checks, or credit/debit cards. I also accept Flex Account credit cards through your employer.
Insurance
I do not take insurance but can provide you with an itemized bill that may be used for reimbursement. Reimbursement is not a guarantee of payment and is up to you to coordinate coverage directly with your insurance provider.
To be fully informed, check with your insurance at the beginning of treatment and inquire specifically about your mental health benefits. Make sure to ask if your plan offers partial or full reimbursements for out-of-network services. Also ask about any limits they place on treatment including number of allowed sessions, and the maximum amount reimbursed per session.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your healthcare provider for a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
